Episode 15: Farewell The Tranquil Mind

**This episode comes with a warning**

Rated PG13: Parental guidance is recommended for children under 13. It contains adult themes and some mild horror.

Producers note: As the character of ‘Angela’ never appeared on any episodes of Enterprise, her image was hard to create. With this in mind, Farewell the Tranquil Mind has been altered, though the premise of the story remains the same.

We open with T’Pol taking a hot shower with plenty of steam, then two hands appear, touching her shoulder, it is Trip. She turns around and faces him then kisses him passionately. At that moment Trip says 'I'm so glad were together', they kiss again only to be interrupted by a female voice, it is Angela! 'May I Join' Angela asks, Trip says 'sure, the more the merrier', at this point T’Pol has a mortified look on her face. Angela stands next to Trip and they get close to T’Pol. 'My, we are going to have some fun, aren't we my dear' as she looks devilishly at T’Pol. As they advance towards T’Pol both Angela and Trips faces change in to that of hideous monsters, they lunge at T’Pol. T’Pol then wakes up, the victim of another bad dream, which is the third one this week she has had. At around the same time Trip has some disturbing dreams about T’Pol with baby Elizabeth.

It turns out most of the crew are having bad dreams. The whole crew in general seems to be very short tempered. Things seem to be in a downward spiral. Dr. Phlox determines that the crew is experiencing bad dreams and nightmares almost every night causing unstable brain chemistry.

It turns out that a non corporeal entity is triggering and feeding off the negative R.E.M. sleep of the crew. All attempts to get the alien off the ship fail. Phlox comes to the determination that if they starve the entity it will leave the ship. So Phlox administers a special drug to keep the whole crew awake as long as possible, they crew must also watch over each other and keep each other awake. A couple days go by and the entity is weakened but is still on the ship, how much longer can the crew go without sleep??

Reminder: This is PG so with the shower scene we won't be showing anything revealing even though all three have no clothes on.)

This episode about lack of sleep dedicated to Tim Brazeal

Episode Thirteen: Phlox-in-Law

Outline:

When the Enterprise visits Denobula to pick up some delegates, Phlox is surprised to find not one but all three sets of parent-in-laws (from his three wives), are also on board as the Enterprise heads to an important conference regarding trading for supplies. This ends up driving Phlox crazy and we find out how complex Denobulan relationships really are. The B story involves T’Pol needing a very minor surgery; she has to recover in sickbay for a few days. This means she is under the care of Nurse Vanson. T’Pol, is already somewhat jealous (well deep inside anyway), and as you might imagine things will be quite a bit tense between the two, and it does not help when Trip comes to visit T’Pol in sickbay and Angela must tolerate seeing the attention he gives T’Pol. There will be a C story about Malcolm finally dealing with Leroy's 'friendliness' and surprising finding some common ground between them.

Episode 12 - Ghosts of Salem Three

The crew tries to help investigate strange occurrences on the almost completed Salem Three. When life support systems start to shut down the crew must evacuate everyone to the Enterprise, Archer however becomes trapped.

After the starbase is abandoned (except for Archer) life support returns to normal and a massive shield (this is way beyond earth technology) envelopes the station preventing the Enterprise from getting through.

Archer must find out what is going on as mysterious robots appear and disappear, and the station seems to be transforming itself. We learn later that a very small mysterious probe had attached to the station. Archer learns that it is not aliens who are behind this but the intelligence that was controlling the 'Dead Stop' station (see Season 2).

Archer must find a way to destroy the station, and save himself in the process, before the technologically advanced station becomes a threat to the whole sector.

Episode 11 - The Better Part Of Valor

Episode Description:

Enterprise and the remaining fleet get some unexpected help in their fight against the Romulans. But will it be enough to keep them from advancing on Earth?

Outline:

As the 4 Romulan ships start to come into weapons range, Archer gets hailed, it is Captain (TBD) from the starship (TBD)!

The two ships that came out of warp were two of the three NX ships not Romulans! As Archer asks how they made it there, and where the 3rd ship is, Captain TBD says that there is no time to explain now and the 2 NX ships take on the 4 Romulan ships with some minor help from the Enterprise the Romulan ships are destroyed.

Afterward Archer finds that Trip was able to rig the engines so the NX ships could get there, but it caused the coils to burn out. They brought some replacements but it will take a couple days to replace them.

So we have a situation now were the Enterprise and the 2 NX ships cannot go to warp and must repair themselves.

Captain TBD tells Archer that the third NX vessel was having problems so Trip stayed behind to help get that ship going. As if timing could not be worse enough, 3 Romulan ships come out of warp. The warp-less NX ships get ready to battle them but surprisingly the Romulan ships go back into warp. Archer determines that the Romulans, seeing the warp damaged NX ships, are heading towards Earth!

Back at the ship yards near Earth, Trip is getting frustrated by the problems the 3rd NX ship is having. The ship’s captain is also somewhat annoying to Trip as well. Trip's impression is that the captain is too young and inexperienced for his position.

The third NX ship gets an emergency message from Starfleet saying that 3 Romulan ships have entered the system, and the ship must launch now to try and stop them.

So we have a situation where the 3rd NX ship, her young captain, and Trip must find a way to destroy the 3 Romulan ships. This time there will be NO last minute help from the Enterprise or the other 2 NX ships!!

T’Pol is now feeling a little jittery as she thought Trip would be safe near Earth. Also, Archer will be troubled as not once, but twice now, his ship is incapacitated and cannot come to the rescue. His ego of being the hero will take some hits here.

Episode 10: Duty, Honor & Sacrifice

Episode description:

Romulan forces threaten advancement towards Earth. Starfleet must find a way to stop them without the new NX fleet in service.

Outline:

After the destruction of the colony on Dellura, Starfleet is forced to play a rather limited hand. The construction on the 3 new NX ships is at a hurried pace, but still they are not ready yet. They are about two weeks away from launch.

Archer orders Trip to stay at the shipyard and do whatever is possible to get those ships going. Trip is not too happy as he wants to be part of the battle. Surprisingly T’Pol is somewhat happy since she thinks Trip will be safer there than in an uphill battle with the Romulans. Starfleet is paranoid of Romulans ships reaching Earth to destroy the ship yards.

The Romulans are building up an offensive force in the Xanive system and Starfleet decides to have the Enterprise lead a force that consists of some very old ships. Starfleet has done their best to retrofit the ships with some updated weapons and tech like transporters, but many of them still have some older nuclear armaments as well.

The Stiles 'C' plot will involve Captain Stiles. He is Cmdr Stiles (the Columbia's first officer) older brother and is Captain of one of those old ships. He is mad because Starfleet has made some pleas to the Vulcans for help and they said no, now his old ship and others are forced to fight a very uphill battle.

En route the crews of the older ships are very nervous and try to hold up as well as they can. Many of the fleet's crew were actually taken straight out of the academy as Starfleet did not have enough experienced officers to fill all the older ships that they were retrofitting. Archer gives an uplifting fleet wide speech (and reads a Zen Xi Tou poem to them) and challenges the crews of those ships to come up with inventive ways to defeat the enemy.

The ships engage in a big battle and a lot of Romulan ships are taken by surprise by some of the unconventional tactics of the Starfleet ships. The Enterprise takes a bit of damage and the warp drive is knocked out.

What's left of the fleet starts to cheer as it seems the Romulan ships are destroyed, and then four more Romulan ships come out of warp to wipe out the almost decimated Earth fleet. Virtually defenceless, Archer has run out of options. The four Romulan ships are closing in, and what's worse there are 2 more ships coming out of warp on the long range scanner heading towards the fleet as well........(yes, insert big cliffhanger here)

Episode Three: The More Things Change

Here is the Directors Cut for 'The More Things Change'

And here is Tom's outline...

T’Pol will have one more dream with seemingly dead Trip. In it she asks Trip if can remember anything about the Andorian girl he spoke of. Trip tries to remember something and says the word 'Talla', as he does T’Pol wakes.

Later T’Pol talks with Trip and says that since they lost their new Chief Engineer Enterprise really needs Trip, then goes further by adding that she needs Trip.

Trip, who realizes that Starfleet will need those NX ships, soon, is a bit hesitant because of his feeling of obligation towards getting the project done. He, however, agrees to stay but does not think Gardner will allow it. T’Pol says to let the captain deal with it as he has ways of being persuasive when dealing with the Admiral.

In act two, Archer will be having a meeting on Earth with Admiral Gardner and some other high ranking military staff (while Enterprise is in space dock) over the declared war by the Romulans (also discussing the status of the three incomplete NX ships). During the meeting the intercom will beep and the voice will say that there's been an accident at the Warp 7 complex (which is near Starfleet headquarters).

As Archer and Gardner get off a shuttlecar in front of the mammoth building that used to be the warp 5 complex which is now the warp 7 complex (since the Vulcans decided to share their warp technology with Earth), Archer stares up to the building and has a small flashback of himself as a child standing with his father, Henry, looking at the same building, Archer will also recall meeting Dr. Cochrane.

When they enter the complex Archer and Gardner are told that one of the scientists died during the explosion. This news will unsettle Archer because when he was 12 he found a dead body whilst he was exploring the then Warp 5 complex.

During this episode Archer will have flashbacks of when he was 12 hanging around the complex as Henry and Dr. Cochrane worked on the warp 5 engine. In his flashback we will see designs over the walls of the yet to be built NX Enterprise (which now show the designs and schematics of the new warp 7 ship, The Daedalus). We will also find out why Cochrane wanted to call the ship Enterprise.

As it turns out it was a Vulcan that did it and after a foot chase through some of the futuristic streets of San Francisco ensues. Archer learns that he works for a group called 'The Order of the Raptor' on Vulcan as he pins the assailant to the ground. As he lets the Vulcan back up the Vulcan taps a device on is wrist and a white glow consumes him with nothing but ashes left on the ground. At the end Gardner orders the Archer to go to Vulcan to get to the bottom of this group to find out if there is any other terror plot against Earth in the works.

Episode Two: Talons In The Prey - The Directors Cut

Here is the Directors Cut for Episode Two:

And here is the outline by Thomas Moore:

5x02 'Talons in the Prey'

(Teaser act)

T'Pol is calling to the Captain as the Romulan ships are approaching; she walks over to him and says 'Captain Archer' then slaps him across the face. 'Captain you need to snap out of it!' at that moment Archer looks at her and says in a sullen voice 'yes, of course your right'. Trip then breaks in over the intercom and say's 'Partial warp drive is restored'. T'Pol (not Archer) orders the ship to go to warp. The Enterprise flies right past the Warbirds as it goes to warp. The pursuing Warbirds turn and go to warp chasing the Enterprise...
Opening Sequence

(The 4 remaining acts)

So basically the episode has two Warbirds chasing the damaged Enterprise. The Romulans have cloaked so the Enterprise cannot see them. Malcolm comes up with the idea to see if they can adjust the Suliban cloak detector (see Shockwave) to see the Romulans. They are successful and can now see the two Warbirds. Archer decided to use this to his advantage he knows that the Romulans do not yet know the Enterprise can see them, so the Enterprise drops out of warp and as the Romulans draw closer he aims what is left of his weapons at one of them, the Warbird is destroyed but the other one de-cloaks and the Enterprise has no more weapons left.

The Enterprise once again goes to warp, and the Warbird pursues. Archer, dwelling on Erika remembers her last words 'We will always have Solaria'. Archer then has an idea he asks Malcolm if there is any Nebula's around (since Solaria is too far away now), Malcolm says the Kerada Nebula is 3 light years away. So the Enterprise heads for the nebula with the Warbird hot on its tail.

Upon entering the nebula Archer has a special mission for Mayweather but he will need Trip to go with him. Mayweather and Trip are to take a shuttlepod and attach a bomb (attached to the shuttlepod's side) on the Warbird that is trying to find the Enterprise in the Nebula. Since the sensors are mostly useless in the nebula, the idea is that the Warbird will not detect the small shuttlepod. T’Pol urges Archer not to send Trip, Archer and Trip are both puzzled as to why T’Pol is insisting on this.

Trip does go, however, and they are successful in planting the bomb. The bomb does not destroy the Warbird though, but does damage it a bit, as the Enterprise and the wounded Warbird exit the nebula the Warbird goes to warp and escapes. Archer orders the Enterprise to head back to what's left of Salem-One to pick up survivors then to head straight to Earth so he can debrief Starfleet.

At the very end of this episode Archer is in his quarters at his desk, he picks up Zen Xi Tou's book of poetry that Captain Hernandez gave him, he flips through the pages for a few seconds the gets up, pats Porthos (who is on the bed) and goes to window, as you see the stars flying by you see the reflection of Archers face in the window as the camera zooms in you will see a tear running down Archers face.

The end

Episode One: For I Have Chosen The Path Unseen - Directors Cut

Okay, Here are three episodes of the Directors cut for episode one:

And here is the original outline provided by Thomas Moore:

Teaser act

We open with the Enterprise and Columbia sitting in space docks near each other over Earth. Archer is having dinner with Captain Erika Hernandez in her quarters on the Columbia. They laugh and talk about some of the experiences they have been through over the past 3 years and the beauty of the Solaria Nebula that they jointly explored over a year ago. Archer comments on how nice it has been to be able to see Erika on and off and that it has brought some happiness to his life. Archer sees a book of poetry on the table and asks Erika about it. She says it is a book of poetry written my Zen Xi Tou, a famous poet from the 2040s. She states that she has just finished reading it and offers the book to Archer. Archer replies that he does not read poetry, Erika replies by saying it will enlighten you, here let me read you something'. Archer says sure ok, Erika opens the book up and says here we go, Captain's Legacy, and starts to read:

Heart of fire, mind of ice
Oh brave Captain, the sacrifice
And while my plight, others may not know
Thus my, spirit to boldly go
In hindsight, I have challenged my dream
For I have chosen the path unseen

Very nice says Archer (with a devilish smirk on his face) and takes the book from Erika and puts it down on the table. Archer walks to the controls on the nearby desk and soft jazz music starts playing, he grabs Erika's hand and they start to slow dance, Archer and Erika draw closer as they dance and they eventually kiss...Scene fades.

At that point we cut to the scene of T’Pol standing in an open white space, there we see Trip enter in (he looks very sad and his face seems drawn). T’Pol asks Trip what he is doing here; he says he does not know, things are a blur to him. T’Pol is a bit confused as this type of interaction had not happened for quite a while. T’Pol asks Trip if he remembers anything, Trip says all he can remember is a little girl who is Andorian but not Andorian. At this point T’Pol is very confused. Trip also states that he feels cold and very lonely; Trip puts his hand out to touch T'pol's hand, right before his hand touches her she wakes up as the communicator built in the headboard is beeping.

She answers the hail, it is Malcolm on the bridge, Malcolm says sorry to wake you but we are receiving a priority distress call from Starfleet. T’Pol asks were the captain is, Malcolm say's he is on the Columbia, this late? She implies as she raises one eyebrow, she then says I will be right there. T’Pol gets to the bridge and Archer and Hernandez are already on the view screen from Columbia's bridge, 'Good evening' Archer says to T’Pol, T’Pol replies 'good morning' to you as well (with a hint of cynicism in her voice) The screen does a spilt as they have a three way conversation with Admiral Gardner. Admiral Gardner states that Starbase Salem-One (still under construction) is being attacked and he needs both ships to respond immediately. As soon as the transmission with Gardner is over, Archer looks at Hernandez and says with a whimsical tone in his voice 'heart of fire' Erika smiles as Archer exits the bridge.

[Opening Credits]

The next 3 acts

In act 1 will open with a nice scene of Enterprise clearing the space dock with Columbia and together they go to warp heading to Salem-One. The next two acts will have to do with things happening en route. I will let fans flesh out the middle part here but basically I need T’Pol to query Trip about any weird dreams he may have had. Of course he has had none. Afterward I want T’Pol to have another dream, this time Trip reveals that he is dead but only remembers that he died on duty, he implores T’Pol to not let him die, at that point T’Pol reaches out to touch Trip's hand and is again woken up.

After this point we will see T’Pol start being a bit protective over Trip. There needs to be a scene that introduces Nurse Angela Vanson. My thought is the first time we see her she is having an argument with Phlox over where he is keeping his animals in sickbay. Also, I want to have a scene in the mess hall were we get a brief introduction to Leroy. We see Leroy attempting to make small talk with Malcolm and Malcolm finding a way to avoid him.

The last act

In the last act we see the ships getting to Salem-One and seeing a mangled super structure. As the ships draw closer we see a single Romulan Warbird emerging from behind the mangled structure. The two NX ships go to Tactical alert. The Enterprise is hailed by the Romulan ship, it is audio only. The Romulans state that the Humans have spread like plague and are now attempting to establish their presence in Romulan space. This will no longer be tolerated says the Romulans. We declare that all humans will be eradicated and stop your plague once and for all. Of course, Archer tries to tell them that that we not told it was Romulan space, but his claims fall on deaf ears. Archer also asks he may see who he is addressing, the Romulans reply by saying that Humans are too insignificant to be honored by our image.

The Romulan ships fires on both the Columbia and Enterprise while retreating past the mangled Salem-One. Archer talks to Hernandez on the view screen and says we should be able to handle this one together, Hernandez says what's the worst that can happen? At that point our fair captain finds out how worse it can be. The Romulan ship turns around, all of a sudden two more Romulan ships de-cloak near the first one and two more de-cloak behind the NX ships. Captain Hernandez comes on the Enterprise's view screen 'Jonathan should we retreat?' 'We might not be able to' says Archer, Hernandez replies 'heart of fire'? Archer responds 'No, hearts of fire!' Hernandez states back 'You got it! Let's get to work' (with a smile on her face).

So the two NX ships engage in battle against 5 Warbirds, together the NX’s are able to take out the first Warbird but the two ships are receiving a pounding. During the battle there are some explosions in engineering and Chief Engineer (TBD) gets killed, luckily trip is there to keep things running. The Enterprise manages to blow the nacelle off the second Warbird but in doing so the flying nacelle hits the Enterprise and knocks out weapons and warp drive (for the moment). The three remaining Warbirds reposition together and head for the NX ships. The Columbia is in far worse condition she has impulse, but her weapons are gone, there is a fire on the bridge and worse the warp core is going critical.

Hernandez orders everyone to the escape pods, Hernandez's first officer Cmdr Stiles, implores the Captain to come along since the core will breach in less than a minute but Erika insists 'I'm not done yet, now get the hell out of here!’. Back on the Enterprise we see the Columbia flying ahead of the Enterprise on the view screen, aware of their warp breach situation Archer says out loud ‘what the hell is she doing?’. Archer barks at Hoshi to hail the Columbia, as the screen comes up the bloodied face of Hernandez appears on screen, Archer yells at her 'get out of there is nothing you can do' Erika relies back 'that's not true and you know it'. Erika further replies 'Goodbye Jonathan, we will always have Solaria'. Archer yells 'Erika!' then the view screen cuts to the shot of the Columbia flying next to the 3 Romulan ships.

Two of the flanking ships start to veer off, just then there is a huge flash of light. Archer, shocked, stumbles backward and falls into his chair. As Archer stares blankly ahead, he says in low key 'In hindsight, I have challenged my dream, For I have chosen the path unseen' the bridge crew looks at him funny yet sympathetic, then on screen it appears that the two flanking Warbirds have survived and are headed towards the Enterprise. Malcolm say's 'Captain what should we do' Archer does not reply then T’Pol says 'Captain, Captain.' Jonathan' Archer, unfazed, is still staring directly ahead..............

Producers Announcement

Announcement Posted in TrekUnited:

Okay! Allee and I will be taking a mid-season break (Yes I know Tom, we’re one episode early). However, Don’t Panic!!!

Within the next 2 weeks (sshhh... I haven’t told Allee that yet!), we are hoping to launch our new website, Enterprise S5. This would be to coincide with the 1st anniversary of the release of the first episode (Okay, we’ll be a bit out). Anyways, the new website will see the release of the directors cuts for the first few episodes (don’t worry, I won’t be taking down the originals – how could I, they hold a special place in my heart). Along with DC’s there will also be short stories to compliment each episode (this would be the reason for any delay that will occur – yes I’m writing the first episode at the moment!!!).

Speaking of stories! If anyone would like to join in the fun and write a short story based on Tom’s outline and video, please feel free to message me!

I’m really excited by our new endeavour, it’s almost like S5 has grown up, and we look forward to your continued support!

Episode Nine: Wrong us, Shall We Not Revenge

The Human colony on Dellura is under attack by the Romulans and the ships there cannot hold them off forever. The Enterprise is rushing to get there when it is attacked by and alien ship. The Enterprise is forced to stop when several engine parts are beamed off the Enterprise.

The Enterprise is hailed by the alien ship, and find it is the Illyrian’s and captain from 'Damage' (Season 3). He claims he has waited a long time for them to pay back the villainy of Archer when Archer stole vital components off his ship. Archer try's to plead with him but to no avail, and the Illyrian ship warps away. Now the Enterprise has no warp drive and is desperate to get to Dellura before the colony is destroyed.

Archer, already feeling guilty about what he had done, must find a way to restore warp drive. Things onboard the Illyian ship are not too content however. The Illyian first officer questions his captain if the need for revenge is more important than thousands of people potentially losing their life.

By the end of the episode Archer is successful at getting the parts back with some unexpected help from the Illyian first officer. When the Enterprise finally gets to Dellura, it is too late and the colony is destroyed. Archer, with a stone cold expression, puts his head down and quietly walks off the bridge.

(So basically this is a morality play about the need for revenge being more important than possible life or death issues.)

Episode Eight: The Ties That Bind

Okay, this episode is the fan written episode which has been written by yours truly. It is based on a story I am currently writing. I had hoped that I would have had the first 5 chapters done by now to post alongside part 1, but alas, I haven’t (I keep adding to it and making changes *hears Allee’s sigh*). Anyhoo, when I do complete it, I will post it somewhere for everyone’s enjoyment (hopefully).

So what is it about? Mmmm... Not really sure on how to summarize this story (cos I haven’t finished it yet), but it has Shran, and Romulans, as well as our intrepid crew. I’ve tried to incorporate as much as I could, but it was/is a bit difficult to squash it all down to 3 parts, so hence there will be 4, and sadly there are big chunks that had to be left out...

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy. Now on with the story...

Episode Six: Mudd Castles in the Sky

Starfleet, in desperate need of Zenite-B (a derivative form of Zenite used to enhance their ships phasers), sends the Enterprise to the planet Ardana to negotiate with the Ardanians. Upon arrival the crew meet up with Fenton Mudd, a questionable trader and someone who has had a close relationship with Hoshi last year.

Throughout the episode Hoshi mush fend off against Fenton's romantic advances. Mudd explains that the peaceful Ardanians don't like to refine the normal Zenite (used for medicine) into a form used for weapon enhancement. Archer states that they need it or else they won't be able to win the war with the Romulans. Mudd, who has a good relationship with the Ardanians, agrees to help negotiate (for a percentage, of course).

The Ardanians take the crew to the newly constructed city in the sky, Stratos. There the Ardanians explain that their automated mining process will not refine Zenite into Zenite-B and they will need to actually send people to do that (later to be known as the Troglytes). Mudd seeing a good opportunity tries to sneak into Stratos's engineering area to try to obtain the Ardanians high powered anti-gravity technology, things to not go as planned for Mudd. By the end of the episode Archer and the Ardanians reach an agreement and send in people to start mining. So Archer, because of the war's needs, is responsible for setting up the situation that Kirk has to resolve 100 years later.

This episode is dedicated to Manny Coto

Episode Five: Avians Over Avalon

The Enterprise receives a signal from the Alpha Century security task force, It seems a Xindi ship has entered there space. The Enterprise confronts the Xindi ship to find that the Xindi humanoid and Xindi Sloth who helped Archer at the end of season 3.

It's seems that the Xindi are chasing evidence that the previous thought to be extinct Xindi Avians may have migrated to Alpha Century and maybe nearby the capital city of Avalon.

Archer reluctantly agrees to help the Xindi with their search, knowing that the humans will be very resistant to the Xindi's presence on AC. Archer must overcome his own peoples xenophobia and find some clues in order to find evidence of the Avians. It will turn out that what they discover will be a surprise to everyone involved! Also in this episode we will see Hoshi have an adverse reaction when she has to deal with a Xindi Reptilian (see Zero Hour, Season 3) during this expedition.

Episode Four: Under The Raptor's Wing

When the Enterprise gets to Vulcan they are greeted by T'Pau, She explains to Archer that The Order of the Raptor are Vulcans that embraces the raw powerful emotions of their ancient ancestors and are a mostly secret society as most Vulcans look down on them. Archer and T’Pol conduct an investigation and we learn through the investigation that T'Pol's father (name TBD) was member of the cult right up until he died.

Archer finds out that V'Las (see Kir'shara, season 4) is the Vulcan leader of this group. During the episode, we (not Archer) see scenes of V'Las getting orders from the Romulans (as was touched on briefly in Kir'shara). It turns out that The Order of the Raptor was actually started by the Romulans 30 years ago and several Romulans secretly mixed into Vulcan society, a lot of them are sleeper agents that may be activated someday. Most Vulcans in the order are not even aware of whom the Romulans are, and the fact they are among them.

We learn through V'Las's conversation with the Romulans that T'pol's father was one such sleeper agent and 'if she only knew her precious Vulcan bloodline was not as pure as she thought'. Anyway it ends up with Archer and T’Pol discovering V'Las's hideout and T’Pol gets into a confrontation with V'las forcing her to shoot him, as he lay dying he says to T’Pol 'your father would be proud' T’Pol replies 'Vulcans do not express pride' at that point V'Las lets out a laugh as he dies.

In the very last scene we are brought a building in Romulus were a Romulan officer is sitting at a deck with big bay windows in back of him overlooking the Romulan city, another Romulan walks in and reports that V'Las has been killed, the Romulan officer get up and walks by the windows looking out at the city (back turned to the other Romulan), he says 'who killed him' to which the other Romulan replies 'The Vulcan Starfleet officer, T’Pol'. Then Romulan Officer still looking out the window starts to smile and then say's 'like father, like daughter' and then continues to smile.

The end (although implied, we will leave it ambiguous if that was really T'Pol's father)

Episode Three: 'The More Things Change'

I have been very remiss at updating Enterprise S5, my apologies... But I shall endeavour to complete the episodes completed as soon as I can. In the meantime, here is Episode 3...

(This opening scene was meant to be part of episode Two, but due to the length it was added to this episode)

Trip, who realizes that Starfleet will need those NX ships soon, is a bit hesitant because of his feeling of obligation towards getting the project done.

Episode Two: 'Talons in the Prey'

Episode One: 'For I Have Chosen the Path Unseen'

Episodes
By Thomas Moore

There will be 20 episodes in season 5, with a small mid season break to space things apart. Basically the tone I am looking for in season 5 is to have a similar feel to season 4 but have the urgency and heavier emotional expression as season 3. By the end of the season a lot of the crew may need counseling. I am going to lay out the episodes and the tentative plots and titles I would like them to have. Of course a lot of things may be tweaked before the finally product is out. Some episodes (especially the first one) have more of a summary than others since there are specific directions I would like them to go in.

Malcolm say's 'Captain what should we do' Archer does not reply then T’Pol says 'Captain, Captain, Jonathan' Archer, unfazed, is still staring directly ahead..............

Romulan War

In the first episodes of season five we will see the beginnings of the Romulan War. We will be able to see (as we did in United) the Romulans making their plans and their interactions among themselves, but they will remain unseen to the humans and Vulcans.

There will an episode on Vulcan dealing with the Romulans covertly trying to infiltrate the Vulcan government. T’Pol, and the Vulcans in general, will not know that the infiltrators are actually Romulans, but will think they are a part of a radical Vulcan group, and that T'pol's father may have been part of this group years ago when he died, or did he actually die? (Or is he living elsewhere?).

The Romulans are also angry at humans for attempting to create a coalition (federation). Their anger will finally boil over when the Romulans learn that humans have begun building Starbases, one of which is in what Romulan’s consider to be their space.

At one point, the Enterprise will lead a fleet of aging Starfleet ships (since the new ships are not ready yet), to confront the more advanced Romulans ships, and must find clever ways to defeat them (some atomic weapons may be used as surprise to the Romulans). Starfleet will learn that the Romulans like to play dirty and may make suicide runs, and also will set off antimatter explosions to destroy their own damaged ships in hopes of taking the enemy with them. So can Archer and Starfleet find a way to alleviate this threat?

Cloaking Device

The Romulan cloaking device seen in 'Minefield' will effectively be neutralized. The 22nd century cloaking device is nothing more than a bending holo-image as seen in 'United', it is not the complete cloaking device as seen in TOS and beyond. Archer in the second episode figures out a way to use what they learned about holo-image in 'United' to see through Romulans cloaks. I guess the Romulans will have to re-think there cloak and maybe in 100 years they will have one that will work (see Balance of Terror, TOS season 1).
